Like the Site Map module, the Menu modules provides a way to define a hierarchical set of links. In addition, the Menu module can transform the rendered HTML un-ordered list of menu links into a styled dynamic menu system using the Superfish jQuery plugin.

A Menu item is broken into the following sections:

Menu Items

The Menu module supports two modes for supplying menu links:

User defined

To add top level items, click the "Add Menu Item" link button above the collection of items.

To add links under any existing item in the collection, click the "Add Sub Item" link button next to the existing item.

If a link refers to a CMS Link, then when rendered, the appropriate language URL is used based on the language context of the request. If however, the CMS Link does not have any assigned URLs or no longer exists, then only the text of the link name is rendered.

Site Map Item

Select an existing Site Map Item to use it's link structure. This is beneficial when you want to maintain the structure in a single Item and use the Menu module to apply custom styling and menu effects.
